This is the second of Mr Valentine's books I have bought, both being about blending modes and tips in Photoshop. One can go through one's career without ever doing more than a basic adjustment layer and blend. But there is so much more in the layers and blends to really give you a spectacular image. I'm not referring to HDR or some of the other changes to create an arty photo, but pushing a normal photo as far as it can go.I hope there will be a future book, updated to reflect Photoshop CC 2015.

I found this book to be extremely helpful because it is focussed and well written. It is valuable both as a introduction to adjustment layers and as a reference. Go for it!
