AMAZING! One does need a comfortable handle with graduate-level linear algebra and respectable familiarity with the desired method, largely moment method in this book, but great coverage of Finite Element too. A truly amazing text book for the MS or PhD engineer of computational electromagnetics. Not so much for the undergraduate student, even most masters students may have difficulty with this book unless course work is completed and student is well into their research for their thesis. Experience with coding the moment and the finite-element helps. I cannot say it enough, FANTASTIC! Jin and Chew and all of the Urbana-Champagne are the foremost experts in CEM today with Michigan and Ohio State close behind and Syracuse and MIT somewhat loosing their long-held footing through the early days of the 60's, 70's, 80's and even 90's. Mississippi State, Auburn and Georgia Tech are still holding respectably strong in CEM. I find Jin and Chew to be better at articulating the matter than Volakis. As great as Volakis is, his work makes for more challenging reads. A serious CEM student may wish to get this entering their Master's program b/c they will need it even if the understanding doesn't come for a year or two or even three into their graduate studies. I think most engineers and students will not be ready for this book until their PhD work or several years in industry applying concepts. I personally needed several years of searching and experience and a few epiphanies over the course of a 20 year career in EM (CEM and analytical) to-date.Easily the most thorough coverage of CEM in my massive collection
